The Totally Rad is the premiere ’80’s cover band in Western Maine! (L-R Krister Rollins, Doug Alford, Kevin O’Reilly, Russ Murley)
Formed by Kevin O’Reilly, The Totally Rad began under a variety of different names and served as a vehicle for Kevin O’Reilly’s solo efforts, quickly morphing into a quirky cover band, and finally found focus a few years ago as a slightly odd ’80’s cover band, focusing on hits and songs that fall under the radar.
The band includes Doug Alford on vocals, guitar, and keyboard, Russ Murley on drums, Krister Rollins on guitar, and Kevin O’Reilly, bass and vocals.
Doug is a slightly unpredictable multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who regularly performs as a solo act as well as with The Totally Rad; Russ lives with his head in the clouds in the Rangeley Lakes where he forecasts the weather for all over North America and spends way too much time skiing and tapping along to music on the desk, pots, pans and occasionally the drums; Krister is a chronically under-caffeinated guitarist and bassist living in the swamp in Casco, who has played in multiple bands over the years including The Underachievers. and the Mark "Guitar" Miller Blues Band; Kevin brings an absurd sense of humor to the band and his solo music and he has played in a variety of genres, including a stint in the folk word with The Dave Rowe Trio, and his solo music has been played on Maine Public Radio as the film Dorm.
Together, these four musicians have two goals - to guide you through the music of the '80’s and to make you dance!
